Electrical Fire Investigations

Electrical Fire Investigations

This course trains participants so they can effectively assist in an electric fire investigation or take the lead role depending on the situation and experience.

This course has been developed specifically for electricians and electrical engineers but fire personnel will also gain valuable skills.

The course involves 23 theory modules with an assessment to be completed at the end of each module. The course takes approximately 24 hours to complete which can be supplemented with PowerLogic’s Electrical Incident Report Writing Course. A detailed flyer for this training course can be downloaded here.

The course has been peer reviewed by one of Australia’s leading expert in the field and he makes the following comments:

“I have conducted a peer review of PowerLogic’s Electrical Fire Investigation Training Course and think it is a very good and worthwhile course. The modules cover a wide range of incidents that electrical trades/professionals might encounter in the field.

The course will increase awareness of what to look for if and when they come across an electrically related fire, and to assess whether there was electrical involvement or not. The course also imparts a broad understanding of legal aspects and the role of the Coroner.

Well done.”
